VALUE
Our customers can do no better anywhere else at the level at which we trade. Whilst we would not wish to compete directly with the value retailers, our entry price points for all categories are fundamental to our range planning and correct price architecture. This is a key factor in the buying process given that value, at all levels of the market, plays an increasingly important part for our customers shopping basket.

ASSORTMENT
A wide, innovative assortment which is constantly maintained so that it creates a difference with our competitors. The assortment provided for each store is determined during the completion of Store Business Plans which are prepared every two years. These form the basis of range planning and price architecture. They are not intended as a financial model but historical returns per sq. ft. will, of course, be considered when determining the category profile for each store

SERVICE
Well informed, prompt, friendly and efficient customer service that exceeds expectations. Service is a combination of store atmosphere and the individual personal customer service we provide. It is where we can establish a significant point of difference with our high street competitors. All of us must ensure that the experience of shopping at Beales is a combination of an inspirational assortment, a high quality store landscape and exceptional service.

Our aim is to grow our business through the further development of our existing portfolio and the acquisition of similar department stores. In March 1995 BEALE PLC floated on the UK stockmarket.
