Delivery & Returns


What is your Delivery Policy?

Product prices on our site are exclusive of postage and packing charges. A summary of these charges can be found on our Delivery Rates information page. J E Beale PLC reserves the right to change this shipping policy without notice.

We will endeavour to deliver the product(s) to you as soon as possible, in accordance with our shipping policy and the products' availability as set out on the website.

Delivery timescales
If the product is in stock, it will usually be dispatched within 2 days. Dispatch estimates are for working days and deliveries will be made to the address that you give us for delivery of the product(s). However there may be delays in dispatching your item during peak seasons such as Christmas and we ask for your understanding as we will always try to dispatch your order as quickly as possible.

Some of our lines come direct from the supplier to you. In this instances delivery can take slightly longer but we'll always do our best to expedite things as quickly as possible.

What are Beales delivery rates?
UK Delivery (we do not currently deliver to any addresses outside of mainland UK)
We strive to keep all of the items featured on our website in stock. If all of the products in your shopping basket are in stock you will receive your order (when despatched to a UK address) in one of the following ways:

Standard Delivery Monday to Friday: £5.00 (£4.26 net of VAT) for orders valued up to £40.00, Free for orders above £40.00. Ideal for home delivery of small orders to minimise carriage costs. Carriage time is an average of 3 days (inc. Saturdays) however, it can take up to 14 days depending on the carrier and the time of year. This option will not guarantee delivery on a specific date. Please allow at least 4 days to lapse before contacting our Customer Service department to track your goods. Please note we cannot issue a refund for a missing item until 28 days have elapsed
Parcelforce Next Day Delivery before 10.00 am Monday to Friday: £7.00
(£5.96 net of VAT). Shipped by Parcelforce and delivered the next working day following the day of despatch (UK mainland only - next day). This service requires a signature to be delivered.

Furniture is usually delivered free of charge, however for larger or bespoke items there may be a delivery charge due to the nature of the product. Please see section marked 'Furniture Specific Information' for details.

Please note: Next Day Delivery will only apply to orders received by us by 12 noon the previous day.

Electricals orders will only be processed that same day if received before 2pm.

Certain UK postcodes have a 48 hour guaranteed delivery only for further details please contact our Customer Service department. Royal Mail and Parcelforce do not offer guaranteed delivery on a Saturday or Sunday, Bank Holidays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day.

If you'd like to have items sent to separate addresses, please complete a separate order for each address. Separate delivery charges will apply to each address.

CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES

To in an effort to get your items to you in time, the latest we will accept orders for pre-Christmas delivery will be 2pm on Tuesday 20th December.

Canceling Your Order?
You may cancel your order for any reason at any time up to the end of the seventh working day after you have received the goods. A "working day" means all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. If you do wish to cancel, the following terms will apply:

  • If we have not yet despatched the product, you may cancel your order by calling the Customer Services team on 01202 552022, between 9.00am and 5.30pm Monday to Saturday. They will be able to access your order's status. If the item is showing as "awaiting despatch" we have not despatched your order and you may cancel it.
  • If we have allocated product to your order or already despatched it then you will need to cancel the order by waiting until you receive the item(s) and thencompleting thereturns formwhich is sent with your order, and returning the item(s) to us. We will then process your return and issue a refund or replacement as appropriate. Please note that your right to cancel does not apply to any product which you have unsealed from the packaging in which it was supplied.

Further details of your right to cancel are given in the e-mail confirming your order. If you are wishing to return products because they are faulty please see the 'Returns' paragraph below.

Items Out of Stock

We will do everything we can to complete your orders but there will be occasions when we have sold out of a product during the time it has taken for you to place your order and our team begin fulfilling it. As such we do not acknowledge the order contract until stock has been confirmed and the order fulfiled. Therefore, we reserve the right to cancel an order in part or in full should an item or items be out of stock. A refund will be issued in full for these items and, in the case of a complete order, will include postage.

Refunds will be issued immediately and leave our issuing bank the same day but please be aware that, depending on your issuing bank, it can take up to 10 working days for the funds to appear in your account.

Flowers Delivery & Returns

We can deliver on a named date to most UK mainland addresses, Monday to Saturday excluding Bank Holidays. Order before 3pm Monday to Friday for next day delivery (excluding Sundays). Delivery times are between 9-6pm and can be upto 8pm at peak times.

Flower Availability - In the unlikely event of any supply issues we reserve the right to substitute with a product of equal (or greater) value, similar colour and style.

If you are not satisifed with your flowers please get in touch within 5 days of of delivery and in the event of the complaint relating to poor quality we will require photographs to determine the condition of the flowers.

Product Images
Although we try to represent our products as faithfully as possible, there may be, from time to time, a slight difference between what you see on your screen and how the product looks in real life be it a shade difference in colour or the size. Please remember that product images are for illustration purposes only. If you wish to return a product because you feel it is not represented accurately we will look into the issue but we will treat the order as unwanted.

Returns

We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. Under Distance Selling Regulations, you may return any item within 7 working days (starting from the date of receipt of the goods) in its original condition (i.e. unused, unworn and in its original packaging) for a refund of the price you paid for the item. After the original 7 working day period (starting from the date of receipt of the goods) should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product provided it is in perfect condition. Returns should be made within 28 days of the date on the original purchase receipt and in original, undamaged packaging. If an order is refunded in full we will, of course, include the delivery chage in this.

Please read the statement at the bottom of this page carefully for items that may NOT be exchanged or refunded for reasons of hygiene and safety.

To return an item please contact customer services on 01202552022 to obtain a Returns Number. This must be written in the space provided on the returns form. Failure to obtain a Returns Number prior to returning an item for exchange or refund will result in a delay in processing your request and could result in the item being returned to you.
Please include allmerchandise being returned with a completed returns slip. Please allow up to 7 working days for this to be processed.

If we find that the product has not been returned to us in perfect condition, we reserve the right to refuse to refund the price paid for the item, or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount.
If your purchase included any special online discounts, you will be refunded the actual amount paid for the goods.

If we find that a customer has returned a product to us under false pretence we reserve the right to recoup any costs from the customer, that may be incurred by Beales be it administration, courier charges etc. We also reserve the right to return non-returnable items in these circumstances to the customer for which there will be an additional postage charge to the customer.

Please note: For your protection J E Beale PLC recommends that you use a recorded delivery service as we cannot be held responsible for goods not received.

We regret that we are unable to refund postage costs for customers wishing to returnitems for whatever reason.Customers wishing to returnlarge or heavy items cancontactcustomer services to arrange for the item/s be collected by a courier. The cost of which will be deducted from your total refund.

If you require an exchange our Customer Services Department will be happy to process this for you. Please include written details on the returns slip provided with your order, including the returns number provided by Customer Serivces.

We are unable to refund or exchange the following products once the packaging has been opened for reasons of hygiene and safety, unless they are faulty:
Mattresses, mattress toppers, duvets, pillows, personal grooming products, cosmetics, pierced jewellery.

We are also unable to offer a refund or exchange on perishable goods such as food, chocolates,alcoholicitems/gifts unless they are faulty.
